Okay, so everyone wants to get the most bang for their buck in a recession when purchasing goods and services. And when shopping auto shippers and movers it's not different.
The truth is you should be able to negotiate a better deal on auto transport or a household move these days. The transportation industry like all industries is working on smaller profit margins now and willing to negotiate for less with consumers, more than ever. however, don't forget the old adage "you get what you pay for" and in a depressed economy it's no different.
Moving companies and car transporters still have to pay the drivers and for fuel prices which is on the rise. Like always, compare at least 3 companies and do your homes work. The BBB and the government provided website to check moving companies is a good start.
