2 way auto transport or "snowbird transport"
Planning your two way car transport for your winter vacation to go smoothly is quite simple if you follow some simple guidelines. When booking your auto transport with your choosen shipper, let them know your plan and the dates you will need your auto moved on the return date.
It can get pretty busy at early winter and spring so be sure to book you transport well ahead of time. Ususally 2 -3 weeks prior to the date you will need the car shipped.
After choosing your transporter let them know you want the car shipped back and give them a date. Its best to book the whole transport now and give a deposit and use the same transporter. This will save you money, time and hassles. If the rate is not discounted or cheaper be sure to ask for a discounted auto shipping rate.
Make sure your pick up and return delivery dates are in writing in your bill of laden. Also be sure to have one person you can reach and be directly in contact with incase you need to change your moving dates or inquire about anything else.
Using these guidelines should make your auto shipping go smoother. If you have problems with the first half of the transport and do not feel confident using the shipppers services for the return trip ask for your deposit back and research using another auto transport company.
