Are gas & oil prices heading south finally for truckers?

It could be just a head fake but in this week a barrel of oil is down almost $10.00, this week and its only Wednesday. What that could mean for truckers and consumers alike is good, real good news. For the auto carriers, it means they can operate at higher profit margins and probably find more loads. Oil costs dropping for consumers means obviously cheaper transport costs. This will lesson sticker shock for auto transport and increase the likely hood that they will book their transport, enhancing the domino effect and increasing loads to the truckers.

While it could be just a short downturn for oil and it always take sometimes to see the effects at the gas pumps all can only hope the downtrend will continue. "As silly as it sound it would be good for all the economy to see oil under $100 dollars again. $100 dollars a barrel a year ago sounded high but now it would be welcome", stated Carl, an auto transporter for over 7 years.
