Round Trip Transport

If you are bringing a car to a automobile show or a destination for only a certain period and than bringing it back that is what is known as a round trip auto transport request. The first thing people usually ask is if discounts are given for this type of transport. The answer is yes in most cases a break will be given by the carrier or broker, especially if a deposit or the entire transport is paid in full prior to shipping.

Transporting Convertible Automobiles Revisited

If you are transporting a convertible car there are a few things you can do to prevent your car from being damaged during transport. Obviously the first thing you can do is request an enclosed auto transport, but that is more money. If you don't feel like spending the extra dough try asking the transporter for a top spot on the car carrier. Why? Most likely your convertible has a soft top. If your car is placed on the bottom and the vehicle above you has a leak of some kind -guess what? Now its on your roof which can erode and damage the tops material.

As always if you request this and it's agreed to or can be accommodate get it in writing when possible! Don't forget to understand your bill of lading and deposit and refund policies of the auto transport company.
