Clearing the Instant Auto Transport Quote Confusion

Our customer service reps are often asked "why cant i just get an instant auto transport quote from your site?" While this reason is multi fold and there are auto transport companies that have sites that give you "instant quotes" be weary and warned.

It's in your best interest to wait 30 minutes, 60 or even a few hours to get your car transport quotee. It will be accurate and not a bait and switch routine from some generic automated inaccurate system that might seem great at first glance. Brokers and carriers weigh many factors when quoting your transport that can effect your price on any given day. Things like do they have a trucking company or carrier going in the area of your vehicle at the price they'll pay? How much are gas prices?, Do you want extra insurance on your vehicle or just the standard auto transport insurance?

Its best to wait after all these details have been hashed out to get an accurate steadfast quote that you can feel confident about not changing. So be weary of any instant quotes for services that is and than changes not in your favor next time you book your transport! In our next car shipping blog we will discuss preparing your auto for transport.

Want to Save Money on your Next Auto Transport ?

Here is a list of 3 steps you can take to save money on your next auto transport:

1. Avoid door to door shipping:
Auto Transporters offer door to door transport and terminal to terminal for your car. If you choose the latter you will save more. A terminal is a gated area or storage area where your car can be dropped off and picked up at. Transporters have these locations throughout the country usually in every major city. You may have to drive a bit if you are next to a larger city but the saving may be worth it.

2. Be flexible on your delivery times:
Now if you have the luxury of being flexible you will save some money here as well and save on headaches. You can get express delivery or guaranteed pick up times for your vehicle but it will cost you more. Remember this article is about saving money on your transport. Be flexible within reason and you will avoid any "express transport costs."

3. Shop around:
While you want to choose a reliable auto transporters there are still plenty of companies out there. Make sure you get at least 3- 5 shipping quotes, before deciding on auto shipper. Remember do the research and as posted in previous blogs there are several ways to check on auto transport companies.

If your car is worth more than the standard insurance transporters carry ask for additional insurance which is available.

Request a one truck transport. This keeps your vehicle on one truck instead of switching trucks at certain points, which can reduce the risk of damage.
