Getting your car delivered when you need it!
We take thousands of calls, especially at this time of year in the likes of snowbirds and seasonal workers who need their car tranported to your winter destination. Many of them are not sure when they want it picked up but know when they need their car delivered by the shipper. Since not all have shipped cars before they are unrealistic on the pick up dates and delivery time needed by the auto carriers. To help ensure a smoother transport and getting your car in time here are some practical tips:
1. Realize it takes longer than you think - due to inclement weather usually occuring at this time of year. Another reason is hours of service regulations governed by the FMCSA.
2. Its better to arrive early than late in most cases. You can arrange to drop your auto off at a terminal drop off if needed.
3. If your automobile absolutely needs to be there in time get an guranteed delivery and pick up date. It may cost you more but its well worth it and saving much aggravation.
